Interior and Exterior Remodeling Services

We have used Agenor Sousa (AG) and his team from Proud USA Construction in two of our properties in an ongoing manner. He has consistently delivered services above expectation both in terms of quality and scope. There are a few qualities that we value that I would like to emphasize: 1) He thinks like a homeowner, and in the interests of the homeowner. He reasons from the customer’s frame of reference and that is important because he doesn’t sell in or sell up services unless they are required. More often than not he has saved us money by finding the most efficient, economical, and enduring path to satisfy our demands. (He has saved us thousands of dollars in advising to repaint rather than replace kitchen cabinets, he has offered alternative finishings throughout the home that were much more cost-effective and just as attractive, House fascia boards: he has advised less work and less cost when he could easily have sold in the complete renovation, etc). Furthermore, if the customer so desires, he is completely willing to allow the homeowner to buy supplies from big box stores rather than sell them himself and take a markup. 2) He has graciously taken on the role of the general contractor to sort things out with other contractors and ensure all elements of a complex project come together at the right time. (He has straightened things out with kitchen counter specialists when dimensions were incorrect, he has moved electrical outlets on the fly when deliveries are being made that don’t quite match original specs, etc.) 3) His team are clean, dependable, respectful and do what they say they will do –with a great deal of flexibility when required. He takes COVID seriously and is rigorous and disciplined about social distancing and health precautions. I recommend Proud USA Construction without reserve.

My family has worked with Ag and his team for just over a year now. They came to the rescue of my large home remodel due to the general contractor I originally hired and they did not complete the work. He and his team spent the first day on the job cleaning around the entire lower level of my home and getting organized so they could start working. They took more time in that first week in my home than the other contractor had in months. He and his team worked around the clock and even on weekends to get my house back on track and completed on time. I was always listened to and respected by Ag and his team, to be honest they feel like family now. He even came up with cost saving tips or ideas for me and treated my project like his own home. I have since hired him to do a bathroom remodel this summer and he is going to start another large remodel project for me later this year. He is extremely detail oriented and always follows through. I have never once not heard back from him- he always puts the client first. I have referred him to friends of mine and will continue to do so to anyone that asks me for a great contractor!
